Customer Care
Refund, Return and Cancellation Policy
Effective date: 25 July 2026
This policy explains how CY Clothing handles order cancellations, returns, exchanges and refunds. It forms part of our Terms and Conditions and does not limit your rights under South African consumer law.
1. How to contact us
Email edmore@veremu.co.za or call 062 584 7751. Please provide your order reference, contact details, the product concerned, the reason for the request and, where relevant, photographs showing a problem. Do not send a product to us until we have confirmed the return instructions.
2. Cancelling before dispatch
You may ask to cancel an order before it has been dispatched. If we receive the request in time, we will cancel the order and refund amounts already paid. If the parcel has already been dispatched, the request will be handled as a return. This does not affect any cancellation right available by law.
3. Cooling-off period for online purchases
Subject to the exclusions permitted by law, a consumer may cancel an eligible electronic purchase without giving a reason within seven days after receiving the goods. The consumer may be responsible only for the direct cost of returning goods under this cooling-off right. We will process the refund within 30 days after receiving valid notice of cancellation, as required by applicable law.
Please keep change-of-mind items unworn, unwashed and undamaged, with their original tags attached, and return them with all supplied items and packaging where reasonably possible. You may inspect an item as reasonably necessary, but a reduction in value caused by use beyond that may affect a non-defect return.
4. Defective or unsafe products
If a product does not meet the quality standards required by the Consumer Protection Act, you may return it within six months after delivery. Where the Act applies, you may choose a repair, replacement or refund, subject to the Act. A statutory claim will not be refused merely because original packaging is unavailable.
This protection does not cover ordinary wear and tear, misuse, accidental damage, failure to follow care instructions, or alterations made after delivery, unless the law provides otherwise.
5. Incorrect or damaged deliveries
Please notify us as soon as reasonably possible if you receive the wrong product, an incomplete order, or an item damaged in transit. Once confirmed, CY Clothing will arrange or cover the reasonable return cost and offer the remedy required by applicable law.
6. Exchanges
Size or style exchanges depend on stock availability. Contact us within the applicable return period. If the replacement is unavailable, we will discuss another product or a refund. Delivery costs for a voluntary exchange may be payable by the customer and will be disclosed before the exchange proceeds.
7. Products that cannot be returned
A cooling-off or voluntary return may not apply where a lawful exception exists, including goods made to your specifications, clearly personalised goods, or goods that by their nature cannot be returned. This does not remove any right relating to a defective, unsafe, incorrectly supplied or misdescribed item.
8. Return assessment
We will inspect returned goods promptly and tell you the outcome. We may decline a voluntary return that falls outside this policy or where the product was used or damaged after delivery. Statutory returns are assessed under the applicable consumer law and are not restricted by our voluntary conditions.
9. Refund method and timing
Approved refunds are made to the original payment method where reasonably possible. For EFT payments, we may request confirmation of the originating bank account to prevent fraud. Bank or payment-provider processing times may apply after we issue the refund. We will never require your banking password or PIN.
10. Return address
Returns must be authorised before delivery to: CY Clothing, 29 Villa Nova, Craigavon, Fourways, South Africa. We will confirm the appropriate delivery or collection arrangement when approving the return.
